Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED)

Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED) is a proud Auckland Council agency that works to advance Auckland’s prosperity and create the new city, making Tamaki Makaurau a desirable place to live, work, play, study, invest and do business.

Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED) helps create a future of prosperity and opportunity for Auckland.

Our vision is that Auckland’s firms and workers are increasingly productive. Productivity is the key driver of prosperity and rising standards of living.

We contribute by leading and supporting initiatives and networks that attract talent and investment, boost business and job creation, foster innovation and an entrepreneurial culture, grow our visitor economy, and shape Auckland’s identity to stand out globally.

ATEED is part of the Auckland Council family. We partner within the family and with others – corporates, government agencies, industry clusters and universities – to build a business environment that thrives on new thinking and collaboration.

We help Auckland businesses grow, innovate and become export ready, and we play a part in nurturing a skilled local workforce through a number of initiatives.

With city-to-city relationships increasingly driving global investment, we also promote Auckland to high-value visitors and create chances for trade growth through these relationships, including the Tripartite Economic Alliance with Guangzhou and Los Angeles.
